High fantasy meets a handmade gown at this treehouse camp wedding
Tierra and Bradley got married at The Treehouse Camp at Maple Tree Campground, a Maryland venue with an ACTUAL HOBBIT HOLE. The guests came in fabulous garb, but nothing compares to the bride’s gown that she designed her damn self. She bought the amazing corset and then crafted the leaf-adorned tulle skirt to match. Bradley channeled hobbits with this outfit and acorn boutonniere. Plus, there was a hooded cloak involved which we very much dig. Don’t miss the hawk delivering the rings!
A frostbitten Canadian national park elopement (with bison!)
Bri and Dale had a whirlwind winter elopement at Riding Mountain National Park, followed by a reception a few months later. Manitoba in February isn't when most people would plan an outdoor wedding, but then they wouldn't get to have snow-covered bison as their special guests!
A ceremony right where they got engaged: on the Murray Morgan Bridge!
Emma and Trevor temporarily took over the Murray Morgan Bridge in Tacoma, WA for their wedding ceremony! In the most romantic twist ever, the pair were engaged on that very spot they chose for their ceremony. This is a wedding ON A BRIDGE! Swoon city, folks.
A classy and colorful picnic wedding with lawn games and cheeseburgers
Bayley and Mikahl got married at the stunning Crestmore Manor under the Californian sun. They had an intimate ceremony among colorful decor they described as “classy picnic with rustic charm.” And we are definitely charmed! Bayley’s orange oxford shoes, Mikahl’s pink petticoat, and general adorableness won us over big time.
Sort yourself into the houses of this magical Harry Potter wedding
Rebecca and Zach love their books and especially Harry Potter. They featured a few of their favorite works of literature in their ceremony and the reception took everything up to eleven. The reception was turned into a Harry Potter wonderland from a sorting hat seating chart, Daily Prophet programs, magic wands, Sorting Hat Ravenclaw cake(!), and a totally themed “Anything from the trolley, dears” sweets table, the handmade details were spectacular. Even their music from the soundtracks was magical.
Time to get our Hogwarts on…
A bicycle elopement in Scotland on the Isle Of Skye
John and Melanie flew from Canada to marry with an Inner Hebrides backdrop on the Isle of Skye. It was the fantasy of any Scotland lover, myself included. Both John and Melanie love cycling and have spent much time in the Canadian Arctic riding their bikes. This mutual love was incorporated into the theme in Melanie’s bicycle-shaped earrings, her bicycle tattoo, and the bikes they used to cycle into the ceremony! During their handfasting, they were linked together by a bicycle inner tube.
