A super chic urban forest wedding in the heart of Chicago
Karen and Bill wanted a stylish urban forest wedding in Chicago, and somehow managed to bring in so much of nature into a chic city space. Air plants, succulents, ferns, logs, herbs, and manzanita branches created the most lush forest we’ve seen in a wedding yet… without actually being a forest, of course! Want to see?
We heart the pink dress and hanky bags at this rustic barn wedding
The pink and ruffly dress, the food truck, the tearful groom at the ceremony, the mismatched-chic centerpieces… it’s all making us quiver about this rustic barn wedding in Pennsylvania. Kim and Adam totally know the sweet spot. Definitely don’t miss the adorable handkerchief bags with sayings like “for crying out loud” and “no ugly crying.” You might just ugly cry laugh.
Check the cotton candy bouquet at this wonderfully weird Austin wedding
Can you even handle LED outfits, costumed guests, Voodoo Doughnuts, a multicolored reception dress, jackalope riding, a 50 beer flight reception, and a Pac-Man suit? If you dare, take a look at this awesomely weird Austin wedding.
Oh, and they had the most wild “lessons learned” EVER. It involved cotton candy, Golden Corral, murals, smoke bombs, and the word “cock.” Yep, seriously. And it’s actually super helpful. You HAVE to see this… and read to the end.
Can an emergency hospital visit still end up as a fabulous wedding day? Hell yes it can.
You may remember Hannah from this post about being a fat bride. Seeing her wedding confirmed that she rocked it. But when a wedding ends up being completed in a hospital, you KNOW it’ll be a wild ride. But this pair managed to look amazing, make it to the reception, and keep a killer attitude all at the same time. Come for the story, stay for the ruby red dress, autumn colors, and amazing comic book-inspired headpiece.
You’ll fall for this multicultural midweek wedding with dinosaurs and pom-poms
Annie and Jose had a multicultural midweek wedding under towering redwood trees. They gorgeously combined their two cultures (Jose is from Spain and Annie is from Japan) with ceremonies and details from each. They also used their communities to make the wedding a labor of love with DIY flower arrangements, makeup and hairstyles, and lots of decor elements. Don’t miss their guest book art project and golden dinosaurs, too!
We’re heart eyes over this fetching San Francisco wedding in Golden Gate Park
The morning of Jake and Mandi’s San Francisco wedding, everyone got ready at the Harbor Court Hotel, a waterfront hotel in the Embarcadero area of San Francisco. After their first look, the wedding party hopped on a classic San Francisco trolley to go to their ceremony in Golden Gate Park.
Don’t miss the super sweet baby’s breath flower crown, the paper-meets-real flower bouquet (with family pictures attached!), the family heirloom watch worn by Mandi from Jake’s family, and some subtle Harry Potter detail magic.
