Black and white is anything but boring at this elegant queer wedding! Luckily for us, Dutcher Photography really captured Matt and Drew’s knack for making black and white pop. And while we're sure the day took lots of planning, they make it look easy and effortless – just like their joy to be celebrating their love together with their family and friends!
Matt and Drew certainly brought both style and substance to their big day (Paul Hollywood fans, you get me). Just wait until you see their gorgeous wedding cake with trailing blue roses… almost too elegant to eat (emphasis on almost!). And we can’t wait to show you how the couple made their guests feel like stars with their table seating idea… it was a major hit.
This elegant queer wedding reminded us why classics never go out of style
Matt and Drew put the “class” in “classic” on their special day – but with a modern twist. From the complementary suits, to the flowers, to the boutonnieres, to the wedding rings… every element had a little touch of something special that made their style not just elegant but exceptional.
Those matching wedding rings are really pulling on the heart strings, aren't they?! And the purple accent woven through the dresses, the flowers, and even the lighting… absolutely stunning. Someone get me a blank canvas because these wedding photos are mood board material!
The table names at this elegant queer wedding were major bops!
Matt and Drew named each table after an artist that represented a song meaningful to their relationship. When we saw Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga were two of the table names, we knew this couple’s excellent taste goes way beyond style and decor. We want to go out dancing with these two! (Seriously though, call us.)
Even if Lady Gage HAD made an appearance, all eyes still would have been on the happy couple for their first dance. Their complementing black-and-white tuxes really emphasized how they are made for each other, and those soft smiles said it all – they're so relaxed and happy together.
Our jaw dropped when we saw the cake at this elegant queer wedding
It’s hard to decide which part of this wedding is the most stunning, but this might just take the cake. Okay, we know that was bad. But seriously, just look at this cake! It’s worthy of its own photoshoot. Luckily Dutcher Photography captured it in all its beauty.
Even the cake got seriously dressed up for this wedding! And that purple lighting moment as they're cutting the cake is aspirational. Nope, that's not a photo filter, folks. These two really knew that the small details make a wedding day shine. Dare we make another Paul Hollywood reference, but if this cake didn't earn a handshake, then nothing would be right in the world. Now THAT'S a showstopper!
These two are the sweetest and we've kept in contact since their wedding, grabbing coffee or dinner every few months. They were a dream to work with!

This elegant queer wedding had us jumping for joy
And we’re not the only ones – just look at those flower girls (and that's even before the cake)! But really, this wedding left us feeling inspired with its refined, elegant style – and of course the gorgeous love between Matt and Drew. They really show us what it means to be “better together.” We're toasting to you and your impeccable taste (and don't forget to call us next time you're up for a night out)!
