Jon and Jenny are both creatives (Jon is an architect and Jenny is a fashion designer with her own label, Jeri Malone), and they wanted a hip but relaxed wedding with their closest family and friends. They chose the Zorthian Ranch, which is known for it's offbeat artist community built by a local Altadena artist. It's super quaint — just a drive all the way up the mountains from Pasadena, and then you can see all of Los Angeles.
They had a ton of DIY elements to their creative mountain wedding. Jenny made both her dress AND Jon's suit. She also made their wedding pie! Do not miss the hot pink and black floral dress, the chic and simple details, and the adorable pie display…

It’s very disheartening that more and more posts continue to be a couple of paragraphs followed by a ton of photos. What happened to the format from before with commentary and descriptions of the photos? I’ve commented about this before. If Offbeat is supposed to be a haven for non-traditional, or, ya know, off beat brides, why aren’t you all making an effort to make your posts inclusive for those who are visually impaired? Besides, captions benefit EVERYONE.
Hitting you up via email to talk about ways we can improve. Stay tuned!!
Such a creative wedding for this Los Angeles couple. Lark and Lavender Photography really captured this unique and fun wedding. That paella looks so yummy!
Beautiful Los Angeles wedding! I LOVE the rings!!!
Love this creative mountain wedding at Zorthian Ranch in CA. The venue looks super cool and so many unique details. How amazing that the bride made her own dress. I love that it’s so nontraditional / awesome.
I love that this bride made her dress AND the groom’s suit! Zorthian Ranch seems to set the stage for their wedding perfectly as a venue.
