Liz and Steven planned a fairy and butterfly themed wedding at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum in Austin, Texas. Liz's late mother was known as “the butterfly lady,” so when the pair did a butterfly release after their ceremony, it had a lot of meaning. This was especially so when Liz was covered in the butterflies all over her dress. The symbolism is so sweet.
Don't miss the greenery-covered tables, adorable mini bites at the reception, typewriter guestbook, and Liz's gorgeous tiara!

I guess the moment when Liz and Steven open the box, butterflies fly out is the most wonderful moment of this wedding. I really like their idea. I love flower bunch of bridemaids, too.
Funny thing, the butterfly release was supposed to be done as part of the ceremony but somehow managed to get left out. Just as we were about to walk back down the aisle as Mr&Mrs, Steven leaned over and asked, “What about the butterfly release?”
I instantly knew that it was my mother’s way of exerting just a little bit of “her way” so that the butterflies would get released at the memorial altar where we signed the marriage certificate. If you look very closely, you’ll see that there are wedding pictures from my parent’s wedding and my father’s parent’s wedding, as well as ny father’s parent’s honeymoon through Germany, when cousins had them dress up for a photo in the traditional wedding costume of the area. I also had Grandmummy’s wedding pearls tied into my glorious bouquet by Coley of 3 of Cups Design+Floral, and you can see them in some of the spectacular pictures by creatrixphotography!
It was such a very perfect way to have these loved ones close.
Truly, my vendors were all so wonderful, and went above and beyond to create this magical fairyscape! I will hold this day so dearly in memory for the years to come!
How do you think they made the moss covered table runners?
I think I’ll find out and create a tutorial!
Hey Offbeaters!
3 Of Cups Design + Florals bought live moss runners and added blooms, butterflies, etc. to create this look at Umlauf Sculpture Garden in Austin, TX! WE hope you love their wedding as much as we love them!
