Our models for this shoot, Lauren and Justice, are a real couple and recently moved to Milwaukee, where this shoot took place. In an effort to create a community, they modeled in Milwaukee's fashion week (you won’t be surprised, once you see these photos), where they met the photographer for the shoot. At one point, Justice said, “Damn, I should have brought a ring for Lauren – this would have been a perfect moment!” If only!

This black and white wedding rehearsal dinner elevates a classic style

As you probably know, we’re all about mixing it up here at Offbeat Wed, but we also know that black and white will never go out of style. Lauren and Justice showed us why at their styled rehearsal dinner shoot. First, their outfits. Holy smokes (seriously, they’re so hot – not surprised they were found at fashion week)! We love how they’re a nod to the classic tux and white wedding dress. The trim details on Justice’s suit adds the perfect amount of intrigue, and Lauren is literally shimmering in her sequined mini-dress. And did you catch that their shoes are the opposite color of what they’re wearing? Just a little detail to show how well they complement one another.

The shoot’s stylists opted for one long family-style table that went with the black and white wedding theme – but added some natural elements. We are loving the way they incorporated real moss into the decor, along with elegant florals! And the black candles and black glasses add a little something unexpected to the table setting as well.
