[related-post align=”right”]Autumn has begun here in the Northern Hemisphere, and I couldn't be more stoked: fall weddings are my favourites. How gorgeous is this photo from Emily and Kyle's autumnal handcrafted wedding? The leaves, the light, her shawl and gloves, the hands very nearly on butts… Grab your pumpkin spice-flavoured beverage of choice, snuggle in, and let's check out some autumnal inspiration from the archives!
Also from Emily and Kyle's wedding comes this adorable and rustic-inspired cake, complete with raffia and birds in a nest as a cake topper.
Casey and Ari's cultural mish-mash autumn wedding had the to-die-for colours of fall in everything from the bouquets, to the favours, to the decor…
…and of course, the killer red bridesmaid dresses.
In fact, autumn and killer fashion go hand in hand: check out these drool-worthy wedding capes and cloaks.
Suzanimated showed you how to turn small pumpkins into vases for your floral centerpieces. These would be great for centerpieces that double as favours.
Speaking of favours… remember this round-up: Leaves, pine cones, and yummy treats: Decor and favors for Fall weddings? Those adorable pumpkin-shaped brownie balls are just one example of the fall-inspired goodness you could share with your guests.
Becca & Tara's Autumn lesbian historic inn wedding used tiny pumpkins for place cards and regular-sized ones for decor. Make sure to check out their venue, too — an early-American New England inn with wooden beams and perfect golden lighting is autumn in an acorn shell.
There's lots more inspiration in our autumn tag archive. Remember to drop your autumn wedding photos into our Flickr pool, or tag them with #offbeatbride on Instagram, and then go play in the leaves!
Sigh… my favorite color schemes!
I think I may have to spray paint some gourds for my not-autumn-themed autumn wedding. I love the pumpkins being used as escort card stands!
We’re having an autumn wedding (this November 9th – eek!) but we are having absolutely nothing autumn about it! That wasn’t really on purpose, we just went with what we liked and nothing autumnal popped up. That being said, all these autumn touches are beautiful!
That’s exactly what happened with me, haha. Our wedding was Nov 10th and there was absolutely nothing “autumn” about it. It was rainbow-y and Star Wars-y and Disney-y.
Funny, I got married in October, and even though fall is our favorite season and a big part of the reason why we decided to get married in October, our wedding didn’t have any autumn touches either.
However, I totally came to this article to see all the beautiful autumn details, and OB Brides rocked it as usual! =)
I am so in love with the first photo…her shawl and hair and amazing.
This post is perfectly timed for this southern hemispherian as I am planning an autumn wedding next march/april! Thanks! Loving the rich reds!
