A real elopement turned romantic Winter styled shoot bliss
Real life couple, John and Stephanie, eloped on New Year’s Day and didn’t get any photos taken. Jessica of M&J Photography put out a call for a couple to join her on a killer styled shoot, so it was a win-win to get this gorgeous pair photographed. They had all hoped for a romantic Winter styled shoot with snow, but rain was on the menu which still looked AWESOME. You’ll super dig the pink cake, garden setting, and my fave, the floral gown + black veil combo.
You must see this Legend of Zelda wedding with Odinic ceremony
Jen and John had an Odinic ceremony at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire with loads of fantasy-inspired and awesomely geeky details inspired by The Legend of Zelda. The Renaissance faire offered up lunch and shows performed by the actors after the ceremony, including a dancing pig and a falconer. Keep your eyes peeled for the Legend of Zelda cake and ring, black fishnets on the bride, and epic Renaissance garb on the guests.
5 times Dustin Cantrell’s photos punched us straight in the feels
Itinerant traveling wedding photographer, Dustin Cantrell, has taught us a fair few things in our time knowing him: how to deal with the too real anxiety of having an unplugged wedding and sad-but-true reasons to turn your wedding pics into OMG REAL LIFE ACTUAL photo prints. Dustin has been a part of the Offbeat family for a really long time and offbeat couples keep on continuously choosing him to capture their wedding moments. We already know why, and you should, too.
Once upon a midnight dreary, we fell for this Poe wedding
Tamara and Sam’s theme is seriously one of our favorites: “rock ‘n’ Poe” — all things Edgar Allen Poe meets rock ‘n’ roll. They DIYed a lot of the goth details, and dinner was a breakfast bar. Between the fabulous black gown (which was actually billed as a “mother of the bride dress” — wut), the killer groom outfit and epic beard, and the black and white lace cake, we love this wedding with a love that’s more than a love. Okay, no more Poe quotes, I promise.
