Magdalena and Preston had an abstract art-inspired vow renewal on a rooftop in the Arts District of downtown LA. The inspiration for all of the wedding design (the dress, floral arrangements, invitation suite, tablescapes, and cake) was based on one of Preston's abstract paintings. The pair got married two years ago in the Lost River Range in Idaho, but their first date was in Downtown LA at Preston's favorite dive bar.
They gathered memorable dates from their relationship to document their milestones. Each event was printed on labels and attached to paint tubes which were then displayed on a reclaimed wooden board (and a former painting). Even the two-tiered fondant cake was inspired by one of Preston’s painting using navy and geometric shapes with a touch of gold. Our favorite part? Preston hand-painted Magdalena's tea-length dress, too!
Come see this rainy day turn sunny just in time for their lovely rooftop vow renewal…

Love that the color palette was based off one of the groom’s paintings. And that the groom hand-painted the bride’s dress, wow!
