Skye and Cody celebrated their wedding in New Orleans with a 1920s-inspired feel and lots of peacock details. It took place in October, and Sapphire Events NOLA planned the event with the couple and shared it with us. There were lots of lovely decor choices including cool branches, peacock bouquets, and hanging lights. Some zombie and sugar skull details (including the groom's cake and the bride's SHOES!), tearful speeches, and a bubbly exit rounded out an awesome soiree.
Kate and Danyael had a gorgeous evening ceremony at the outdoor mausoleum at the Inglewood Park Cemetery, with guests seated in a spiral(!!). The rituals... Read more
Thanks to Sapphire Events NOLA for sharing this amazing New Orleans celebration with us. Plus, it came with a bonus slideshow!
LOVE the shoes!!! Absolutely wonderful photos
dying to know where she got her dress(es?)!!
Hey ladies, Believe it or not I managed to pick out my wedding dress the first time I went dress shopping in all about 45 mins at Davids Bridal of Houston. I tried on one more but it just didn’t have the feeling I was looking for. Now my reception dress was a bit different. I searched for months until I found it on Etsy. I picked 2 custom vintage dresses out but only wore one. Unfortunately the shop I got it from closed due to the owner relocating across country. But there are so many great other options on Etsy. Good luck ladies and Congratulations.
HOLY CRAP! This is a gorgeous wedding!!!!! I love the zombie elements and everything was so beautiful! Congrats!
OMG – Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous & the cake is literally to-die-for!
Beautiful wedding! But I don’t think the shoes are zombies, they look more like Day of the Dead sugar skulls. 🙂
I actually wasn’t trying to match my shoes to the cake. I do own zombie heels and thought about wearing them. But they just didn’t match well with my colors. I thought these heels went well with the peacock theme. Being day of the dead themed was just an added bonus 🙂
Those flowers are gorgeous, the clothing is gorgeous, and the peacock feathers are great. Everything is great. I agree about the shoes, they seem a little day of the dead, the cake is cool, all of the characteristics of the figurines down to the last detail.
Wife to be will be excited that there are turquoise flowers in existence! < 3
This is like looking at a painting, that’s how beautiful this wedding is.
Lovely wedding! Skye is one of the most beautiful brides I’ve seen on OBB. And Cody looks weirdly like my brother… Maybe one day he’ll have a wedding as awesome as this 🙂
This is crazy awesome! It really looks like everyone is having a blast in the photos 😀
I have so many similar ideas for my wedding next year. Same feathers, almost the same colors, and the same city. Your wedding turned out so gorgeous, now I can’t wait for mine!!! I love the zombie touch, made it very personal.
I love the idea of the wedding plank. What did you do with it afterward?
Thanks ladies. I covered it in lacquer and it is now hanging on my wall. I loved the idea of being able to hang it with my wedding and family photos. I found this particular one on etsy. It even has our names and wedding date burned into the plank 🙂
I have looked at sooo many weddings to inspire me, and this is by far my favorite. I am not a zombie person (generally), but this entire event is stunning. Congrats!
Those flowers are gorgeous!!
Your stunning wedding is made all the more beautiful and impressive by the selection of a wedding party that embraces friends and family members with special needs. While wedding days are primarily about the groom and bride, its a true testament to the generosity of a couple when they share their joy with those who don’t often get a turn in the spotlight. Kudos to both of you!
Wow! I’m speechless. Every single detail is absolutely spectacular. And that cake…and the shoes…and the bouquet. Oh my God, EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC. Now I want to get married all over again so I can copy them. 🙂
This is so beautiful I feel a little teary!
