First I saw a super cute headpiece in the Offbeat Flickr Pool. Then I saw a sweet little crown. Then I saw an outrageous black feather hat. And then I realized that you all put your headpiece photos in the pool just for us so we could have a hat-themed Monday Montage! That was very sweet of you.
Plus, I was so knocked out by the headpieces from Plumed Serpent that we recently featured, it was already on my mind.
Here is a collection of the most recent amazing headpiece fashion from the Pool and the Offbeat Bride Pinterest account.

Hey, photographers! I love you and do my best to attribute all Monday Montage photos, but sometimes brides don't include your info when they submit photos. If I've featured your work but it isn't properly credited, email me!
I love the bride dress in the sixth picture :X
Thanks! It was pretty much my gothic fantasy gown, drawing elements from all over. I’m just lucky to have a friend who is a seamstress and costumer who could take my crazy dress ideas and make it a reality. (I don’t want to spam this post but I did post her info over on flickr).
Plymouth’s whole outfit is amazing! I love the heavy boots with the smart but feminine dress. Pinstripe corsets ftw.
Thanks! The boots are New Rock, which is a brand I originally learned about from the OBB tribe and I resolved that I MUST have a pair! And, yes, they’re quite heavy – they make me feel all stompy awesome to wear 🙂
Ohhh I’d love to see a tutorial on the first one and the second but last one….stunning! Well they all are, I love how they really add to all the outfits 😀
I’d be happy to do a tutorial on my headpiece if that’s something the OBB staff and readers want!
Um… YES!
Submit it over here: http://offbeatwed.com/submissions/guestpost
Yay! 🙂
Heh, I have a set of dice exactly like that that I use for D&D (my whole family, including my 5 year-old niece, and my mom, plays)
The grooms yarmukles were actually hand knitted by one of the mothers of the grooms! 🙂
That is awesome! 😀
Not to completely go off course on the conversation, but has anyone had good luck finding a cruelty free feather fascinator or cocktail hat? I’ve been looking for one for my reception. I would love one made of shed pigeon feathers, but that seems like a stretch…
My suggestion for the cruelty-free feathers- find a free-range bird (duck, chicken, turkey, goose) egg farmer (try local farmers markets) and, well beg. I’ve always found farmers who really care about their animals are very, very keen to share their love of them. My guess is that they would be very amused and very happy to help out in any way they can. I know that it’s not quite cruelty-free but it might be your best bet.
That’s a great idea. Thanks!
I would LOVE to see a tutorial on the last headpiece, too! Those felt flowers are amazing.
Oh my lord, the 5th photo! That dress! The bride! The couple! The everything!!!
She is so very Audrey! Please please please show us more of this wedding!!! 😀 x
On it. 😉
I just recently finished a Winter Bridal Antler Crown after receiving several inquiries from women who are looking for offbeat headdresses. I’m new to the Offbeat Bride and only found out about it after someone had posted about one of my crowns on the site!
