In case you missed it, part one of this Sonoma County destination wedding itinerary is here!
I'm continuing the lineup of amazing wedding events you can plan for a destination wine country wedding in Sonoma County, California. If you missed part one, it's here!
Here are some of the highlights that I got to experience including some farm and winery tours, a pit stop for some soft serve, an outdoor boudoir session, cheese tastings, and of course, the main wedding event. If you want to find out more about the elements and venues in this itinerary, the all-inclusive wedding planning team at Off The Beaten Path Weddings is who you'll want to contact. They create start-to-finish signature experiences with their connections at all of these venues and are wizards at pulling it all together so you don't have to. Special thanks to Venone PR for coordinating all of this for us.
Let's dig in to part two…
We started the day with Beau Wine Tours taking us to K Squared Cellars for a wine tasting (yep, morning wine tastings are legit!). Their tasting room is located at Artisan's Alley, a collective of breweries, distilleries, and wineries in Windsor, California. We tried the wines we'd be enjoying at the main event that evening.
After that sublime start to the day, we headed to Encore Events, the source for all of the linens and rentals that we saw this week. The options were ENDLESS. If you've got ideas for the look of the wedding, they've got the skills to make it happen. We jammed about vibe boards and rifled through ALL THE THINGS.
Off The Beaten Path had planned a gorgeous private, organic farm tour and farm-to-table lunch using ingredients from the farm itself. The venue, Front Porch Farms in Healdsburg, was one of Distinct Locations's lineup of venues, so hit them up if this farm looks like the place for your event. The picnic was so fresh, so delicious, and perfect for the warm day in the shade of their arbors.
After lunch, we got a behind-the-scenes look at a wedding boudoir shoot with Charity Epperson, owner of Boudoir By Chee, a Sonoma County photographer who specializes in body positive outdoor boudoir photography.
Full, happy, and ready for more fun, we decided to see if we had any more room for dessert. Spoiler: we DID. A famous little dessert spot in Sonoma County is Amy's Wicked Slush in Healdsburg. They're known for their Boston-style slush and soft serve, sometimes served together. Yum. This could be the perfect late night snack or dessert at your reception. How Instagrammable are these?!
Our last stop on a whirlwind tour of the area was at a stunning, 28 acre pinot noir vineyard and tasting room located along the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, Moshin Vineyards. The winery features a super unique four-tier gravity flow system. All of their effort made the wine taste divine.
At the end of the day, we got all dolled-up in our wine country formal best for the peak signature event from Off The Beaten Path Weddings: the WEDDING EVENT! We were absolutely blown away by this experience. I'm talking a delectable farm-to-table, family-style dinner and cocktail reception at an exclusive private estate in Sonoma County's wine country. It's super private (as in, you'll never be able to snag it without going through Off The Beaten Path), only hosts a limited amount of events per year, and was a hidden oasis under the redwoods that dazzled us hardcore.
The catering had ingredients from Beffa Springs Ranch, wine from K Squared Cellars, cocktails from Alley 6 Craft Distillery, menus from Invite Design, olive oil from Napa Valley Olive Oil, decor from Encore Events Rentals, and music from Keri Campbell Music.
We dined, we drank, and we reveled in how transformative and blissful a wedding can be. Take it away, pictures which are worth a thousand words…
As a post-wedding event day, we had a couple of super chill outings that would be perfect to round out a wedding weekend with low stress. We hit up Cowgirl Creamery for a taste of some of their most popular handmade cheeses. Yum. Then we parted ways after a tour and tasting at a real meadery, Heidrun Meadery! That's wine made from honey instead of grapes, for those of you who haven't had it. And if you haven't, I recommend it.
Here's a little lineup of a fab gift package you could gift to your guests in their hotel rooms, too. Featuring items from JJYoung, Three Sisters Apothecary, Dream Water, Moshin Vineyards, and K Squared Cellars…
If you were lucky enough to attend such an array of unique and curated events at a wedding weekend, it would be the most astounding event ever.
