Hey, I'm Violet! (she/they) I'm an East coast-based photographer who loves capturing love stories and turning them into art.
This experience is about YOU and your partner – and your wedding or elopement should reflect that. I'm a huge fan of ditching old wedding traditions that don't feel true to you. As the person lucky enough to capture these memories for you, I don't really believe in staging moments – I want to capture the day authentically as it unfolds. Your wedding day shouldn't feel like a big photoshoot. Rather, looking back at your photo gallery should help you relive the day.
From the moment you inquire with me, you are chatting directly with me — no automations. It’s so important that you click with your photographer so you can kick back, relax and get the most out of this whole experience. I’m here to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera AND have fun — I hear all the time from clients that shooting with me feels like hanging out with an old pal. I want to capture you as you are in this moment, and create art out of your love story.
I bounce between New York and the south coast of Massachusetts where I grew up, and will continue to book both of these locations with no travel fees. But I love to travel all over, and I've been lucky enough to capture love stories at all ends of the country. Take me anywhere! How I cater to offbeat weddings
As a queer photographer, I understand the wedding industry can be very non-inclusive. I center my business around creating space for queer couples in a way that feels comfortable and true-to-you. You’ll never see a post from me starting with “hey brides!” or experience gendered posing during your session or wedding. ALL are welcome and affirmed here, regardless of sexuality, gender, size, race or ability.
On wedding day, I’m a huge advocate for quirky, non-traditional wedding details! I’ve shot weddings where the couple got ready together and walked down the aisle together, weddings where the couple wore vibrant colored gowns instead of white, receptions with breakfast for dinner, and the list goes on. If you want to ditch stiff, expected wedding traditions and do your own thing – I’m your gal!
My wedding photos are drop dead stunning. Violet is truly so talented and I cannot recommend her enough if you’re planning any type of photos. I find myself going through my photos from her almost daily because I’m so obsessed with every single one.
