The best wedding our guests have ever been to!
My wife and I got married at The Palace Theater (TPT) in March 2026, and we can’t say enough great things about the venue and our experience. We had the time of our lives—and so did our guests!
We first discovered TPT in 2024 during a date at their immersive show, The Speakeasy. At the time, we had just gotten engaged and were researching venues, but wedding planning wasn’t on our minds that night. TPT wasn’t anywhere on our radar, but we left the theater convinced that we had to get married there. We didn’t even know if they hosted weddings—we just knew the space was perfect for us and we never toured any other venue.
What drew us in was the uniqueness and authenticity. This is not at all a cookie-cutter venue! From secret entrances to real speakeasy bars, a casino, and the stunning Cabaret theater, every detail feels intentional and immersive. Some of our guests were amazed that our “speakeasy-themed” wedding wasn’t just decor taped to venue walls—it was a full 1920s experience. I guarantee this venue will transcend anyone’s idea of what a themed wedding can be!
The theater also gives you incredible amounts of creativity. Through the theater, we customized lighting, created 1920s themed cocktails, hired a jazz trio, had live casino tables, and had several actors and performers interacting with guests. To build the mystery, we didn’t share the venue address—instead, guests met an actor nearby, received a password, and were guided to a secret entrance. Guests loved that experience and it set the tone for the night. We even had an aerialist perform at the reception! The ability to be creative in designing our wedding day was truly unmatched.
We also loved the intimacy and privacy. Despite being in a busy area of San Francisco, TPT feels like a hidden world that only you and your guests know about. That feeling of disconnectedness is perfectly paired with the great sense of intimacy that the theater exudes. We loved that the space was large enough to accommodate a few hundred people while also feeling small enough to connect with all of our guests. Everyone in the venue felt like they were in the heart of the action, and the size and design of the venue invites guests to socialize and bond with one another.
Maybe one of the best surprises about this speakeasy venue, though, was the affordability. At first, we assumed a wedding with several entertainers, actors, and custom elements would be way out of our price range. In reality, our wedding was more affordable than several ceremonies that our friends and family have had at traditional wedding venues. People were genuinely shocked at the value we were getting from the theater, and we were too!
Finally, we absolutely love the staff at The Palace Theater. We worked very closely with Damaris, the event coordinator at the venue, and she was so cool and such a joy to work with. With Damaris, no idea was too big or small and she did so much to make sure our vision came to life. There were several other staff at the theater including operations staff, bartenders, theater technicians, lighting designers, catering managers, and day-of coordinators who were so kind and gracious with us and helped make our day unforgettable.
Even a month later, our guests are still talking about our wedding as if it happened yesterday, and many have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. We’re so grateful to The Palace Theater for a truly unforgettable experience for all of us!Robyn N.

There’s no wedding venue like it
We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Palace Theater. It’s such a unique and beautiful venue, with something for everyone. We wanted ourselves and our guests to get to enjoy ourselves the way each person wants to, and that is absolutely the experience we had.Our guests were blown away by the environment and range of vibes/activities. The best way we could describe it is fun. We literally have pictures of our guests with jaws dropped as they walked into the cabaret and they learned there was more to the venue.
The drinks are excellent and the food options are amazing, we loved supporting other local businesses. Between the cabaret, the casino, the jazz bar, the speakeasy within the speakeasy, the photo booth, and the tarot reader, there’s nothing we would change if we were to do it again.
Theres such a range of offerings that you can customize to make it your own. The team there is amazing to work and ideate with in setting up the wedding of our dreams. It felt like they were genuinely having fun planning it with us. Damaris and Geoff were awesome. Also, they have a package that can add an external day-of planner from a partner company, and since we did our ceremony elsewhere, this was huge for making our day perfect and stress-free.
Our guests still tell us about how much they loved the experience. We had such an incredible time. Our wedding really felt like it fit us, if you’re looking to have a wedding or event that feels more like you, this is the place to do it.

Unique & Unconventional 1920s Speakeasy Wedding!
The Palace Theater is an amazing theater company and venue!! We wanted an unconventional wedding, and we wanted it in SF with most of our friends flying in from across the country, so we knew the wedding needed to be special! We couldn't have asked for a better experience having a themed wedding!! We made sure to tell all our friends that our wedding was 1920s Great Gatsby/Speakeasy themed and all our friends showed up leaning hard into the theme, 10/10 no notes. The Palace Theater provided us with a menu of add-ons that we could pick from to enhance the speakeasy and immersive experience, and everyone had a blast!! Since they are a theater company at heart, we were able to make the entire wedding feel more like a complete 1920s evening with all our friends, and they were very accommodating with specific details we wanted to bring to life to make the night feel unique to us. Many of our friends told us it was one of the most unique and fun weddings they've ever attended. We used our own caterer and it was super easy to coordinate with the caterer and the cake delivery directly with TPT -- we didn't have a wedding planner and was better for it! Shout out to the photobooth as well, it's amazing and the photographer helped with posing!!Brianna F.

BEST WEDDING EVER!!!!!!
The Palace Theater was an ABSOLUTE DREAM to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, with Logan and then Damaris, the entire team was so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make our vision a reality, accommodating our requests with a positive and creative attitude. The production team was incredibly attentive and supportive throughout the entire event, ensuring that every detail was executed to perfection. The musical cues, video presentation, and special touches like letting us use our moon cut-out were exactly as we envisioned. We couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else - this place is pure magic! Thank you Damaris, Logan, Nick, Sean, the AV team, and everyone else who made our day so incredibly special.
