Heya! I'm Sabrina, your friendly nerdy photographer and owner of <a href="https://sgwphotography.com">SGW Photography</a>.

I came into this line of work probably by accident. You see, initially, my goal was to become a media arts animator. I was the geeky artist in school who drew all the time and considered myself an Illustrator. But then, through some fluke of magic, a photograph is seen at my college done by a student just drew me in, and well yeah, the rest is history. So the art nerd turned into a photo nerd, and here I am still at it twenty years later.

So what makes me so different from everyone else? Well, I love natural and real moments. I'm sure everyone does! But the way I go about it is that I don't want people to be anything BUT themselves when working with me. I want them to be silly if they're known for being goofy. I want them to be shy if they're known for being an introvert! I want them to show their vividly unique personalities because that's how I want my clients to remember themselves—as themselves.

I'm a firm believer in pictures being able to tell a thousand words, and that's the goal I strive to achieve with everyone. Everyone has a story to tell, and I'm here to help you tell it as artfully as possible. So years from now, when you look back at your photos, you never forget who you are.

How I cater to offbeat weddings

This is one of the most important fields on your vendor listing! Our readers love to feel special and like you understand the issues that are important to them -- stuff like LGBTQ support, gender-neutral contracts, and inclusive sizing. They also love hearing about how offbeat YOU are, so be sure to mention any of your own quirks as a way to relate to folks.

I'm Offbeat because I'm offbeat myself! I'm a quirky introvert who loves to game, has a wicked gaming computer setup, and grew up watching Anime. I even met my husband in a Yahoo! anime chatroom back in the early 2000s. Wild, right?

Some might call me weird, and others might say I'm "unique." All I know is that I'm unapologetically me and love meeting people who are the same. I mean, I don't want to sell you on a false personality and leave you disappointed. That means if you're looking for someone who will be commanding and directing you everywhere, that's probably not me. I'm not about trying to force a story by putting you in situations unnatural to you. I'm about making you relaxed so you can be who you are.

Not all artists are extroverts. Some of us are just quiet geeky artists that draw in the back of the classroom ... but we're AWESOME geeky artists.

I'm about working with people and their personalities. That means I don't want to photograph a stiff portrait; I want to capture movement and energy.

You're probably not a fan of cameras. Maybe you're nervous about what to do or how to pose. You're unsure about your appearance and possibly need someone to reassure you that you're BEAUTIFUL, and I'm going to show and remind you of that every time.

I'm the photographer for the geeky at heart, the introverts, the nerds, the different, the weird, and the goofy. I appeal to the person who wants to see themselves in their photographs and remember every moment in vivid detail. I'm the photographer for people like me.

Plus, booking me tends to turn into a long term relationship. It always makes me happy when my wedding clients come back to show me updates of their lives be it still happily in love or growing a family. So not only am I a wedding photographer, I capture all the milestones of life from that day forward.

Promotions or Discounts

Everyone likes a coupon, but our readers LOVE feeling special, and like their specialness matters and gets them a deal.
