About Legend Bridal Designs
Legend Bridal creates gothic and alternative wedding dresses for people who want to feel unmistakably themselves on their wedding day.
From our studio in Lancashire, UK, our small team of specialist makers designs and hand finishes every detail in-house. Our collection of Immortals moves from ethereal and romantic to gloriously dark and dramatic… black lace, rich color, unexpected textures, sweeping sleeves and silhouettes made for taking up space.
Every design is named after and inspired by immortals, goddesses and deities from stories and mythologies around the world. We choose them not for religious meaning, but for the stories they carry: strength, transformation, wisdom, hope, independence, gratitude and the many different ways we find our way through life. They’re dresses designed to make you feel powerful in your own story.
And our collection is only the beginning.
For those able to travel to our UK studio for fittings, our dresses can be adapted, combined and completely reimagined, giving you the freedom of bespoke without having to imagine your wedding dress from a sketch. Change the color, sleeves, neckline, fabrics or details; bring together elements from different Immortals; or talk to us about creating something entirely your own.
Can’t make it to the UK? You can still wear a Legend.
We work with couples internationally and can create our existing Immortal designs for shipping overseas. We’ll guide you through taking measurements remotely and make your gown to our size chart, ready for any final fitting adjustments to be carried out by a trusted seamstress local to you. Full bespoke and significant design modifications, however, are reserved for clients who can attend fittings with us in person.
We’ve spent over 13 years dressing alternative people, and we’ve learnt that finding your wedding dress isn’t really about following rules for your body shape, your wedding aesthetic, or what someone getting married is “supposed” to look like.
It’s about confidence.
That wonderful moment when you look in the mirror and recognise yourself.
Come exactly as you are

Pricing & Packages
We believe you should be able to fall in love with a dress knowing whether it fits your budget.
That’s why we’re transparent about our pricing, with prices for our collection published on our website.
Our Immortals collection typically ranges from £1,900–£2,700, with full bespoke gowns starting from £3,000. Customisation is quoted individually depending on the changes you’d like to make.
We also offer flexible payment plans where time allows.
International clients are also given clear information about shipping and any additional costs before ordering – we don’t like financial surprises any more than you do.
Additional Information
You don’t need to change yourself to shop with us.
We don’t put conventional dress sizes on our samples. Instead, our Symbol Sizing system helps us find the pieces most likely to fit without reducing anybody to a number on a label.
We don’t believe in rules about which silhouettes you can wear for your body shape, whether you’re “alternative enough”, what underwear you should arrive in, or what somebody getting married is supposed to look like.
Our studio is built around curiosity rather than judgement. Bodies change. Disabilities and access needs differ. Brains work differently. Gender and identity are personal. Families come in countless forms. None of those things make you difficult to dress.
Our job is to listen, use the specialist skills we’ve spent more than 13 years developing, and help you find a dress in which you feel comfortable, powerful and recognisably yourself.
Come exactly as you are.

Charlotte

Hi, I'm Charlotte, one half of Legend Bridal which I run with my sister Rachel.
We started Legend more than 13 years ago, back when finding a black wedding dress was considerably more difficult than it is today. Rachel leads the technical wizardry behind our designs and I am somewhere between creative direction, storytelling, business development and asking "but what if we did this?"
We're lifelong lovers of the unusual: mythology, folklore, music, nature, dark art, beautiful craftsmanship and the wonderfully weird things people create when they're given permission to follow an idea properly.
Legend has grown into a small team of specialist makers, but our dresses are still designed, cut, sewn, fitted and finished under one roof in our Lancashire studio. You'll find us surrounded by fabric, half-finished experiments, loud conversations, several forms of stimming and a soundtrack that varies considerably depending on whether somebody's grandmother is currently having a cup of tea in the fitting room.
