How I cater to offbeat weddings

So I’m supposed to write about how we cater to offbeat weddings here but thought I’d info dump about myself for a second. Maybe knowing a few things about me will help you understand why Offbeat Weddings is more my jam. First of all, I am a Pagan so no, your Wiccan handfasting ceremony is not going to make me clutch my pearls with a gasp. Let’s swap books! I have multiple Dungeons &amp; Dragons tattoos and a stupid amount of dice so yes, if you are having your DM as your officiant and a special table that’s rolling shiny click-clacks all night for guests, I’m all in. LGBTQ+ has been in my family since birth and I hate what members of my family had to go through. I want to support the hell out of you.  My sister has CP and I have been surrounded by people with “disabilities” my entire life. Your wheelchair or whatever won’t be an issue. Political leanings? Reproductive rights for women in the hands of women. Climate change is real and scary as hell. We need to fix what we can. The Dark One with his tiny hands and orange hair is the worst thing that ever happened to America. (we dare not speak his name). So, now that you have the elevator pitch about myself, onto wedding stuff.

Nothing is more fun and engaging for us as photographers than a wedding where the couple has not only incorporated themselves into it, but really let their true selves shine. We work with every couple through their planning process to do what we can to really get to know them and their interests. Not only when it comes to wedding concepts, but outside of that as well. Things you enjoy and the things that make you who you truly are. How we can incorporate that into your wedding day to truly bring out your natural weird quirky selves because, in the end, that is what we feel will really resonate with you five or ten years down the road. We all know humans have their “look at the camera and say cheese” smiles and their real natural caught-in-a-moment smiles. Those are the ones we want. We want to get you to that place on your wedding day.
