How I cater to offbeat weddings
I’m really interesting in how we show up for each other and what it looks like when we do — I’m looking for the ways people connect, and how we share the story of our relationships. I love Offbeat Bride readers because I can see they have a priority list that’s close to mine. When I meet with offbeat clients and they tell me the thing they’re most excited about is that they’re throwing the biggest party of their life — I know we’re going to get along.
As a neurodivergent queer woman, I love working with folks who think differently. I’m active in both the queer and disability-rights advocacy communities, and I love using my camera to tell love the stories that go untold, and feel unrepresented.
I’ve often described myself as a whole-life photographer; that is to say that while my working relationship with many of my clients starts with their wedding, I’ve often gone on to capture their bodies via boudoir photos, their lives with their families, their headshots to celebrate a new careee or business. It is exciting to me to get to know people in so many ways and connect those pieces of them with my camera.
Chris was amazing to work with from the very first time we met and it's hard to describe how powerful the emotions are when we view our wedding pictures. We also hired Chris to photograph our rehearsal dinner which is one of our favorite decisions we made through the whole process. It was great to have additional pictures of our friends and family in more "normal" attire and a much more relaxed setting. -Clint
I offer sliding scale for people in marginalized communities such as transfolks, school teachers, and activists. If you're in a marginalized group or actively working in your community, please reach out. If I can't accommodate your budget, I may be able to recommend someone.
