Our costume wedding at a glance:
We decided to make our celebration all about what we loved and wanted to have everyone share in that. Our friends each brought a dish of foods they loved so we could all share in that. We asked guests to wear any costume they wanted. We had a bounce house, a hot dog cart, a prop station where everyone could dress up in crazy costumes, if they already weren’t dressed up.
Tell us about the costume wedding ceremony:
I was a pickle for most of the party until the ceremony. My youngest daughter was dressed as a baby gherkin.
Tell us about the costume wedding reception:
We did get a card with goodies from Grillos Pickles too, would like a shoutout to them for the best pickles around!
What was the most important lesson you learned from your wedding?
We took away from our celebration that making memories with friends and family are the most important part of any union. Weddings should be about sharing your love, sharing the weirdness, and making memories. My youngest daughter had never been to a wedding and now knows that!
