A zoo wedding with handmade international details
Jennifer and Abdoulaye are truly an international couple: she hails from the States and he’s from Guinea, and they met while working in Mali. A coup d’état in the country led to Jennifer moving back home, and their relationship blossomed thanks to Skype and long-distance phone calls. Once reunited in the US they quickly eloped, and hosted a wedding a few months later at the Virginia Zoo.
Jennie & Daniel’s tropical adventure-themed zoo wedding
Animals, adventure, and retro travel… now that’s a wild wedding setup. With lots of DIY from the crafty bride and some dance floor shenanigans, this zoo wedding was bound to bring out everyone’s animal side. Get ready for animal prints, peacock feathers, animal crackers, and tropical-themed centerpieces.
Convert inexpensive plastic toys into kick-ass table name identifiers
I’m going apeshit (heh) over this gorilla table identifier we saw over at Green Wedding Shoes. Picture them at your circus wedding, zoo wedding… any wedding that I’m attending (please), etc. Dibs on the bear table!
Natalie & James’ day out at the zoo wedding
Lions and tigers and crystal trees, oh my! Getting hitched and feeding giraffes may not be on everyone’s wedding day agenda, but for this couple, it’s all in a day’s work. Check out their zoological, offbeat lite nuptials.
Juno & Noah’s queer feminist interfaith wedding
This worldly couple manages to elegantly combine traditions from Buddhist, Jewish, Filipino, Catholic, and Chinese into one heckuva wedding. And you don’t want to miss the a-dor-able video of Juno surprising Noah with a choreographed dance number!
Annie & Johnny’s wild animal and fencing honor guard wedding
Remember that photo I shared with you of the couple surrounded by swords post-wedding ceremony? Or the photo of a bride with a fuzzy creature on her shoulder? Well, that daring couple was Annie & Johnny! Here’s the rest of their Wild Animal Park/fencing wedding story.
