Rachel & Andy’s rustic quirky interactive historical farm wedding
Get out your eagle eyes, because there’s a lot to see in this raptor-lovin’ wedding. Not only were live birds of prey there for the ogling, but guests got a chance to live in this couple’s shared brainspace for a day, with hula hoops, a drum circle, and a couple of celebrities. As if that wasn’t enough, guests got their sax on in an ultimate sax-off, and that’s after the whole party was Rick Rolled. They’re never gonna give you up….
Stephanie & Zachary’s budget-friendly courthouse and pizza wedding
This week we’re celebrating intimate weddings with destination elopements, cozy city hall vows, and private romantic ceremonies. This time, the groom wore his Class A’s and the bride wore a short white dress to their courthouse ceremony with pizza and bar-hopping as the after-party. These two wanted a mid-week ceremony catered to their style, and they definitely did it. Low budget, high fun, epic pizza.
Angi & Erik’s upcycled country barn wedding
This was a wedding with a lot of hidden surprises: I didn’t see the awesome bouquet, brunch buffet, and upcycled window/seating chart until I hit the Flickr set! There is a lot of DIY to see, a few repurposed items (bride’s dress, machinist-made rings!), and a whole lot of sweet details in this countrified barn wedding.
An Old Hollywood classic theater same-sex wedding
Becca Dilley Photography sent us this gorgeous same-sex wedding in Madison, Wisconsin, and we were super stoked about the awesome style and INSANELY COOL cake: a huge pedestal with flames and mini-cakes hanging down! The couple also rocked an Old Hollywood vibe with a retro theater venue, the Orpheum Theater.
Sam & Brian’s Jewish camp wedding by the lake
This pair met at summer camp and had the wedding at that same camp years later! So cute. Planning from a distance was a challenge, but with the help of their planner, the outdoor, twinkle lighted ceremony couldn’t have been sweeter. And the sunny summer camp setting made for some amazing shots!
Wildflowers and farmland at this clifftop wedding in Wisconsin
Instead of feeling like a wedding, the goal was “first family reunion.” And after finding an awesome farm locale with hay rides and lawn games, the potluck dessert and flowers came naturally to finish off the event. Despite planning from a state away, these two found help in their friends and family to pull it off. Put on your farm boots and check it out.
