A love-heavy rainy day wedding in a New York barn
Rebecca and Meeka had to battle downpours throughout their entire wedding day, but even the most torrential rain couldn’t stop them from smiling! The two held their ceremony in a barn decorated with animal skulls and rope, and cleverly used white roses to mark seats intended for family members. After jumping the broom, they moved on to the reception space, where plenty of dancing and toasting followed. Home-brewed beer (including beer ceremony), an Elvis officiant, a hilarious camp wedding guide, and a cocktail hour with lawn games and merit badges — you’ve just described my perfect camp-out party. Don’t even get us started on the tearful first look, the Sharpie pre-tattoo rings, the dads’ pre-ceremony chest bump, and the time-traveling video invitation. When Trekkies Wed: a Star Trek-themed ceremony, vows, and officiant dressed as Q
Seattle-based officiant Elaine Way was contacted by our Trekkie couple of the day (John and Becky) and asked if she would dress in full character for their ceremony. The character they had in mind was none other than Q, aka the bossy enlightened know-it-all from Next Generation. Since Becky and John are full-blown Trekkies, we also have the entire ceremony AND a wedding video!
