Show me the money! Here’s my wedding budget breakdown
My wedding in total cost roughly £13,500 which I believe is the bottom end of average here in the UK, and was largely thanks to the very kind support of my parents. Here’s where the money went on my wedding, a few points to consider, and my big tips for budgeting for your wedding.
Our glam ’70s festival meets London street food wedding
From the “cheese” cake to the cork board Polaroid guest book, this chic London wedding just exudes style. Originally from New Zealand and America, these two are now living it up in London and taking advantage of all the craft beer, Prosecco, gorgeous venues, and good times the city has to offer. Let’s explore their 1970s-inspired, multi-colored dress wearing, seafoam green leisure suit sporting wedding.
Aimee & Jon’s garden tea party pagan wedding
This week we’re celebrating woodsy, outdoor weddings before it gets too cold. Today we’ve got a UK wedding focused on keeping things eco-friendly, educational for non-pagans, and full of music. With a handmade corset dress, a ceremony in the round, and a forest setting, this pair totally knows how to do fun, frolic, and rock ‘n’ roll out in the wilderness.

Lauren & Steve’s spooky horror film-inspired wedding
It’s our favorite week for spooky, gothic, and horror-themed weddings — it’s HALLOWEEN WEEK! Today we’re drooling over the barbed wire bouquet, the hearse getaway car, the giant pork pie, and the many, many amazingly carved pumpkins by the guests. Plus, you’ll never guess which Supernatural star cameoed in the photo booth…
Jen & Rod’s papercraft-y city gamer wedding
These UK gamers certainly know how to put effort into their decor — you might lose your shit over their amazing papercraft centerpieces based on game developers. But it’s the little touches that made us grin: the Calvin & Hobbes vows, the kitty collar moment, the serenade-turned-glass crash moment(!), and of course, the big love for their friends and family. This is a geektastic-meets-metal winner, you guys.
