Allison & Sage’s Buddhist gothic gluten-free wedding
With 90 days to plan their wedding, these two pulled off a fusion of Victorian Gothic and Traditional Taiwanese that will blow your mind. Her beyond-gorgeous kimono and his dapper top hat and cane make for fabulous photos, but their thoughtful buffet of eats-for-all-eaters is a real sight to see, even if they did need help figuring out how to cut the cake. PS: the rally music for paper-crane-folding party? Awesome.
Top hats and tails at this Brooklyn Winery wedding
After 17 years together, Tony and Michael were married at St. Ann & The Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, NY. With bagpipe accompaniment, lots of wine, and two men in top hats and tails, it was bound to be a superb celebration.
Karina & Murray’s monocles and Mario wedding
Monocles and Mario Kart and much to love in this wedding — from the 1,000 origami paper cranes to the father of the bride’s amazing outfit, this DIY wedding has it all: self-catered vegan cupcakes (and an entire vegan dessert bar, ahem!), personalized vows, a divine red dress, and a seriously cool venue. Tip of the top hat to you two, too!
A steampunk soiree with an amazingly detailed cake
Jenny from Moondance Photography may have been new to steampunk before photographing this wedding, but she got schooled! Victorian science fiction meets cyber punk is not something to be forgotten once you’ve experienced it. There were gears on the shoes and in the boutinnieres, top hats, vintage decor, and a steampunk cake with more details than you can imagine.
