Monika & Alex’s eclectic community-supported love celebration
This DIYed wedding has quite a few surprises. Try an officiant putting the couple through a trial that included interpretive dance! Offbeat Brides have been submitting lots of gorgeous woodsy weddings recently, so we’ve compiled a few of our favorites in a forest theme week.
Angi & Erik’s upcycled country barn wedding
This was a wedding with a lot of hidden surprises: I didn’t see the awesome bouquet, brunch buffet, and upcycled window/seating chart until I hit the Flickr set! There is a lot of DIY to see, a few repurposed items (bride’s dress, machinist-made rings!), and a whole lot of sweet details in this countrified barn wedding.
Shannon & Tim’s Neo-Victorian steampunk wedding
After having very traditional first weddings, this couple knew that this time around, the whole shebang was going to be totally personalized. Plus, it’s in the form of a steampunk/Neo-Victorian ceremony in a museum followed by an at-home reception with all the nearest and dearest, so we totally approve. You’ll go batty over the corset and bird cage “bouquet” too!
Katy & Aytan’s potluck picnic wedding in the park
I just love simple and sweet weddings filled with love and no pretension. Give me a potluck in the park with the nearest and dearest and I’m sold. This wedding has that and a whole lot of sweetness between the couple. Just don’t accuse the groom of crying — it was obviously just his hair gel getting in his eyes.
