High fantasy meets a handmade gown at this treehouse camp wedding
Tierra and Bradley got married at The Treehouse Camp at Maple Tree Campground, a Maryland venue with an ACTUAL HOBBIT HOLE. The guests came in fabulous garb, but nothing compares to the bride’s gown that she designed her damn self. She bought the amazing corset and then crafted the leaf-adorned tulle skirt to match. Bradley channeled hobbits with this outfit and acorn boutonniere. Plus, there was a hooded cloak involved which we very much dig. Don’t miss the hawk delivering the rings!

We love to jam about wedding trends, so when Houston’s Public Radio and NPR’s Here & Now wanted to talk shop about geeky fantasy weddings and weddings at Ren Faires, we were so down.
Swords and feathers at a woodland Wiccan Medieval wedding
Alexa and Joshua held their Wiccan Medieval Fantasy ceremony and reception at Mcintosh Reserve in Whitesburg, GA and it was a magical display of forest-y goodness.
We’re fantasizing about this warriors meet fairies wedding
Lori and Josh planned their warriors meet fairies wedding with so much style. The story went as follows, “A mismatched group of warriors (the groomsmen) got lost in their travels during a storm and stumbled into the forest of the fairies (the wedding reception and ceremony). And the war chief fell in love with one of the fairies and so a wedding was called for.” With mismatched decor of clocks, water pitchers, bird cages, old books, and candelabras, they made a lovely setup for the makeshift wedding.
