This art gala wedding created an exhibition of art by family & friends!
The overall theme was Unity Through Art. I am an artist, and both my husband and I come from a long line of professional artists and grew up immersed in fine art culture. So, we decided to celebrate our wedding in the form of an art exhibit.
We held an art gala wedding that showcased the collective artwork of our closest family and friends and celebrated our local neighborhood of Astoria.
A rustic Northern California wedding with Southern flair (and a spectacular gray dress!)
With two very nontraditional people, we decided to highlight aspects of our specific tastes and lives. All the bridesmaids had floral dresses of their own choosing, and the groomsmen all had floral ties of their choosing (and one female groomsmen picked her own floral dress as well). Vegan, gluten-free Southern cuisine was served along with local Northern California wines and beers.
Get lost in the dark dreaminess of this elegant atmospheric wedding
Just wait until you see the lacy black dress (with matching dress on her daughter!), the deep red floral decor, the GORGEOUS ceremony space with string lights and candles everywhere, and the glam AF gold and black wedding cake. It’s like our darkest, dreamiest fantasies have come to life at this super lovely and atmospheric wedding that was totally authentic to the couple.
When a party turns out to be a SURPRISE summer camp wedding
Shay and Chris had one main goal for their wedding: for everyone to have major fun. To achieve this, they made a drastic move and didn’t tell their guests that a wedding was happening! Yep, it was a surprise summer camp wedding in Oregon with games, bonfires, and loads of fun.
Let’s take a look at the surprise wedding shenanigans…
