We’ve got some stunning dark Christmas wedding inspiration, but it’s probably not what you’re thinking. There are luminous fairy lights, a holiday-colored macaron tower(!), festive and fizzy drinks, pops of crimson flowers and drapery over lush and dark greenery and pomegranates, modern deep red sculptural cakes, and energy mist favors. This definitely isn’t your usual Christmas wedding decor!

Lauren and Andrew did not want a traditional wedding in any sense of the word. Lauren’s vintage-style custom red dress was the first way we can tell that this couple did things their way and it WORKED. They chose to have a small wedding which meant they got to spend quality time with everyone there, a major goal.

There were sweet speeches, killer cocktails, sweet rustic details, and lots of wine.

We had a Beetlejuice themed wedding! It's a movie we both love and enjoyed growing up (my family used to call me Beetlejuice!) and when we got engaged, we both knew we wanted to do something different since Ryan’s a musician and graphic designer, and I love to cosplay and make teeth for a living. In with the theme of Beetlejuice, we got Ryan a burgundy suit, his groompeople's outfits were inspired by Otho, while my scouts (I am a HUGE Sailor Moon fan) wore black and white dresses with accents of red…

When a rustic forest wedding met red, black, and metal

When we got engaged, we knew we didn't want a typical wedding. Instead, we wanted to incorporate some of the wonderful things we enjoy together into an expression of our love. We picked black and burgundy as our colors to match our dark aesthetic. For my bridal look, I wanted to go high drama. I ditched the white dress and found an asymmetrical wine-colored dress and, with my bridesmaid Haley, built a one-of-a-kind elk antler headdress so I could look like a pagan forest goddess.
