Sword fights & purple kilts at this dance party wedding with an Oreo toast
Our wedding was held at a gorgeous hall that is owned by a Franciscan monastery, which has little details that make it look like a medieval church (in the middle of Washington D.C.!). My husband collects swords, so our cocktail hour featured friends from the HEMA Alliance (the society for Historical European Martial Arts) performing a demonstration of sword fighting through the ages.
Two brides, matching gowns, & a T-Rex on a family farm in Louisiana
Kim and Jen, in their matching (but differently colored!) dresses, rocked a sentimental and super sweet wedding on Jennifer’s family farm in Louisiana.
Their reception was held at The Cabin in Darrow, and after their first dance, Jennifer sneaked off to change into a T-Rex costume to surprise everyone. The Anteeks kept the dance floor hopping the whole night.
Batman married the Joker at this Marvel meets DC wedding
It was a comic book themed wedding in which Batman married the Joker at Villa Antonia. I was the Joker, draped in a purple, detachable train wedding gown that I designed and had made. The gown was accessorized by a top hat veil. The groom was Batman, the best man was Superman, and the maid of honor was Catwoman. The other groomsmen where the Green Lantern, Iron Man, Captain America, The Riddler, and Deadpool. The bridesmaids were Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, The Flash, and Storm.
