Africa meets North America at this gorgeous Ghanaian wedding reception in Maryland
Billy and Jenny actually got married in Ghana a few years ago, but between Billy living in Ghana and Jenny getting her PhD, there wasn’t much time to celebrate here in the States. Their wedding celebration day changed all of that. They invited a few of their closest friends and family here in the U.S. to the beautiful Glenview Mansion in Rockville for dinner, photos, art gallery views, and dancing. Just wait until you see Jenny’s fab multicolored dress!

The couple enjoys both illustration and Brooklyn life, so you’ll see bits of both throughout the details of their colorful farm wedding. From the Simpsons details to the donut table to the colorful flower and herb centerpieces, everything was a nod to Daniel and Zoe’s homage to color, style, and serious emotion.

These prom dresses can be the affordable alternative wedding dresses of your dreams [Updated for 2022!]
Prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, ballgowns, formal dresses… all of these terms can totally mean WEDDING DRESSES. Plus, they’re almost all sub-$500 which means they’re alternative wedding dresses on a budget. I went a-scouring the prom and bridesmaids sections to see what steals and deals I could find in pinks, metallics, whites, creams, florals, and so many more. Y’all know you can wear white, but don’t discount the rest of the rainbow. Those blush sequins need someone to wear ’em, right? I guess I’ll just have to take one for the team and wear them all. It’ll be hard, but I’ll try to manage.
Go beat me to them and find that prom dress turned wedding dress right now…
