Mary and Andrew were married in Blaine, Washington at Peace Arch International Park, which is between Surrey, British Columbia and Blaine, Washington. It’s also Geek Week, where we celebrate our nerdy and pop culture-loving comrades, and this wedding totally fits the bill with comic books and old school Nintendo references.
Anna & Joe’s circus carnival and costume ball wedding
From her breathtaking blood-red gown to his dapper top hat and tails, these two are the picture of gorgeous Victorian fashion. I’ll bet you’d be surprised at who their officiant was! Their old-school carnival/circus-themed tent of lights, stripes, juggling, and fire let them entertain their guests and share the spotlight that’s often squarely on the couple getting married — a smooth move. You’re also going to love the late night dip in the pool, the killer shoes, and the heartwarming grandfather as an admiring admiral just bursting with happy mid-hug.
Allison & Sage’s Buddhist gothic gluten-free wedding
With 90 days to plan their wedding, these two pulled off a fusion of Victorian Gothic and Traditional Taiwanese that will blow your mind. Her beyond-gorgeous kimono and his dapper top hat and cane make for fabulous photos, but their thoughtful buffet of eats-for-all-eaters is a real sight to see, even if they did need help figuring out how to cut the cake. PS: the rally music for paper-crane-folding party? Awesome.
