Grab a slice with these lovebirds at their NYC pizza party wedding
New Yorkers Rebecca and Jeff were both looking for a wedding that was low-key, romantic, and fun. This turned into one of our favorite kinds of weddings: an intimate ceremony at City Hall, a pit stop at the bride’s mother’s home for a champagne toast and cuddle with their dog, and on over to their neighborhood slice joint. They ate pepperoni pie at the legendary Joe’s on Bleecker Street, complete with “cake” topper, of course. They finished off the day by carving their names for eternity into the wooden booth with a butter knife (a 100% restaurant-sanctioned activity). This was way more than just a pizza party. You’ll want to see it…
An April Fool’s Day surprise pizza parlor wedding
Nicole and Ken had their second date at Pi Pizzeria in St. Louis several years ago. When they decided to get married and found out there was a location close to where they live in the DC area, they decided to surprise their close friends by getting married at what their friends expected to be an engagement party.
Add in their classy “Best Day Ever” cake, funky decor at the restaurant, and requisite rings-on-pizza-slice shot, and you’ve got a deliciously fab tiny wedding…
A “Love Wins”-themed playful Oregon wedding (with pizza and toys!)
Two brides, a kilt, a chic pants outfit, and so many playful details: this sweet Oregon wedding at McMenamins is making our life. But when you see what they did at the ceremony (hint: it involves singing into a mic!), you’ll be bowled over. Then take that bowling over to the lawn games and pizza party and you’ll have this fun-as-hell wedding.
The (literal) cheesiest unity ceremony ever: a unity pizza-cutting ceremony
Don’t think it wasn’t super hard to not make a “cutting the cheese” reference while I was writing this. You’re welcome. Unless you’re into fart jokes, then I’m sorry. Moving on. We celebrated Minerva and Max’s flamingo-clad vow renewal a while back and couldn’t wait to circle around again to remind you about one of our fave parts: the unity pizza-cutting ceremony! What’s better than taking the food you love and the person you and combining it all into a unity ceremony? Nuthin’.
