A blissful Stockholm cherry blossom wedding
When we showcased some spiffy painted heels recently, we didn’t know what else the wedding had in store for us. Then we saw it. And it blew our minds! We asked Emmi-Sabina Forsberg of 2 Brides to allow us to bring this wedding to you guys because, seriously, it is frothy pink awesomeness with cherry blossoms on top.
Starkers! Corsetry’s Offbeat Bride-inspired gowns
There’s a first for everything, and this marks the first time in five years that I’ve ever posted photos from a wedding gown fashion show. Runway shots just aren’t really my thing — I usually prefer seeing real people in real dresses, rather than gawking at designer stuff somebody might wear.
Leave it to Dianna DiNoble from Starkers! Corsetry[vendor-heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/dianna-dinoble-starkers-corsetry"] to make me change my mind. This show, part of Fashion Art Toronto‘s Fashion Week pretty much blew me away. While Offbeat Bride isn’t affiliated with any of these gowns in any way, Dianna told me that the line was very much inspired by the tastes of Offbeat Brides.
And oh my, what taste it is…
Katrina & Jason’s “planned in four days” wedding in Alaska
Imagine deciding to get married on a family reunion vacation and having only four days to plan. That’s exactly what this pair did on their vacation cruise in Alaska. Fast dress fittings, a quickie cake and bouquet, and all the nearest and dearest in one place. That’s how you elope in the far North!
Roz & Pete’s humanists loving doughnuts and Prince wedding
This couple loves Krispy Kremes, books, vintage cameras, and each other. Do you want to be their BFFs yet? They had two ceremonies (one being of the humanist persuasion), an epic candy buffet, and dress-up costumes for the reception resulting in much hilariousness. The coincidental ceremony mishap is pretty funny too.
