Kaity & Chuck’s rainbow farm wedding
No hurricane was able to dampen the spirits on this pair’s wedding day. They had their heart set on a farm wedding and made it happen despite Hurricane Isaac’s threats. There were also handmade bridesmaids’ dresses, a mom who saved the day altering the bride’s dress, and last-minute rainbow-decorated barn.
Curiouser and curiouser: it’s an Alice in Wonderland wedding
Nicole and Mike had an Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding complete with flower girl and ring bearer costumes, mushroom and teacup centerpieces, and the bride’s handmade blue dress (complete with lacy pantaloons!). Mike channeled his inner Mad Hatter too. The wedding was held at Darby House in Galloway, OH and was the perfect outdoor backdrop to this theme.
Gin & Brandon’s leap year mardi gras wedding
The groom isn’t a fan of yearly celebrations, so why not celebrate with a bang every four years? Leap day wedding incoming! With a firm budget but a desire to please: this pair managed to research their way into a fabulous New Orleans-style feast and Mardi Gras decor. Plus, they held the ceremony in a truly gorgeous venue.
Compliment a DIY bridal brooch bouquet with DIY ornament bridesmaids bouquets
I love seeing Offbeat Bride DIY projects show up in weddings! Indiana Offbeat Bride Conna recently coordinated her bridal brooch bouquet (DIY tutorial here) with ornament bouquets for her bridesmaids (DIY tutorial here).
Tracy & Nick’s crafty and thrifty paper poms wedding
A craft day was required for the amount of DIYing happening at this wedding. Wooden flowers, paper poms, crafty centerpieces, and mini clothespins… it’s inspiration overload! Add in more awesomeness like the bride’s brother as officiant and the casual Hungarian catering, and it’s a sweet little party.
Amber & Dylan’s Roaring ’20s prison wedding
A shared passion for the 1920s, ample props and costumes, and a historic (and haunted!) prison setting well worthy of the task — looks like a roaring wedding for any flapper at heart. The best part is that this couple’s guests totally got into the the theme! It’s the best thing any theme wedding can have: commitment to the bit!
