NYC illustrators create a colorful farm wedding in North Carolina

Daniel and Zoe live in NYC, but their wedding took place in Daniel’s home state, in Monroe, North Carolina. The couple enjoys both illustration and Brooklyn life, so you’ll see bits of both throughout the details of their colorful farm wedding. From the Simpsons details to the donut table to the colorful flower and herb centerpieces, everything was a nod to Daniel and Zoe’s homage to color, style, and serious emotion.

Get your hankies out for the ceremony, folks!

A sea witch elopes underneath a pier with a man holding a guitar

When you see this North Carolina beach wedding, you’ll know you’ve found sea-worthy bliss. A guitar, a bunch of mishaps, and a glam sea witch dress of our dreams… it’s so worth the look. Throwback style and sweet moments all over this vintage eclectic wedding

Amy and Camilla took their vintage style and ran with it by incorporating it in their killer outfits and placecards (vintage photos!). Their friend officiated in drag(!), they got shoe tattoos instead of exchanging rings, and also gave out temporary tattoos as favors. The venue was ideal for them with its eclectic style of antique frames, glassware, furniture, and the glow of tons of twinkle lights.

Don’t miss their pink and mint dresses (the pink dress was made by Amy’s mom!), their fabulous retro hairstyles, and fun trivia game…

Don’t miss the photo booth idea at this stunning handcrafted wedding in North Carolina

Amy and Andrew are two creative people who handcrafted a gorgeous wedding with the help of their community. With help from so many, they made bouquets and boutonnières from farmers market flowers they bought that morning, famous family desserts for the reception, a ceramicist friend made their cake topper, and Amy even found her dress on Craigslist. Andrew made flasks for his groomsmen out of clay and metal, materials he uses daily anyway.

Guests sat on blankets on a hill at the ceremony like it was an outdoor concert! But our favorite part was their photo booth. They had a giant canvas with paints so that the guests could create their own backdrop. You’ve got to see this handcrafted wedding in North Carolina…
