Angel & Candi’s self-catered vegetarian wedding
Gothic and sarcastic weds bubbles and sunshine, and it’s not without its challenges. But these two ladies manage to pull together a self-catered vegetarian feast in a colorful space all on a budget, because one is crafty and the other can cook! It sounds like a match to me.
Katie & Kellan’s Firefly and sci-fi geek chic wedding
No Firefly wedding is complete without Jayne Hats and Kaylee parasols, right? Add in some dinosaur references, a “Hitchhiker’s Guide” program, and some Star Wars, and the geek cred is made. They may have clashed with the venue coordinator, but these two know how to make it work.
Harry Potter, Doctor Who, horses, and a four-figure discount from NY’s Milestone Images
I think this is my favorite interview with one of our most prolific and wonderfully honest sponsors — Angie from Milestone Images. Not only do we get to see the once-viral sonic screwdriver bouquet in action, but we get to hear a photographers candid opinion on why her services are worth the money, why she’s a great fit for DIY couples, AND we get never-before-seen admissions about the depths of her Harry Potter nerd-dom.
Oh, and I get to share with your our first ever four-figure discount from a wedding photographer.

Asa & Ben’s “rock and roll” pinball cheeseburger family wedding
Let’s just see what might make you excited about this wedding: bacon chocolate cupcakes, heavy metal-meets-roller derby, kids vows AND rings, a Spider-Man pinball machine gift, scavenger hunt programs, a “feather girl,” a cheeseburger save-the-date…? I could go on, but I’m pretty sure you’re already heading in to read this one. And you totally should.
A gothically delicious ’til-death-themed wedding
They don’t like the usual wedding traditions, so why would they use them? Bring on the goth fashion, metal music, and the EPIC Jekyll and Hyde-themed bar! With an eyeball bouquet, lots of leather, a couple of gorgeous masks, and some clever DIY, this wedding was turned into a celebration of their personal connection.
