This lovely & rainy Catskills wedding got flooded out but a last-minute venue switched saved it
Christine and Josh had planned a camping wedding, but on the day, it was pouring rain. Their campsite got flooded and they needed a plan B. Amazingly, a neighbor down the road heard about their wedding and offered their barn to them, if they didn’t mind clearing it out. All their family and friends worked that morning to clean and decorate, and they even created log benches that morning. They made the best of the weather, handing out umbrellas, and ending the night by sending off fire lanterns. They had friends and family from all over the world, Lebanese food, doggos in a ties, and a REALLY gorgeous dress! Let’s take a peek at this rainy Catskills wedding in New York…
This art gala wedding created an exhibition of art by family & friends!
The overall theme was Unity Through Art. I am an artist, and both my husband and I come from a long line of professional artists and grew up immersed in fine art culture. So, we decided to celebrate our wedding in the form of an art exhibit.
We held an art gala wedding that showcased the collective artwork of our closest family and friends and celebrated our local neighborhood of Astoria.
Wedding planning in a box? This wedding planning kit is the organizing tool that will save your sanity
Wedding planners are often a bit of a conundrum to newly engaged couples. What do they do? How can they help? Are they even affordable to me? We decided to speak to an amazing NYC-based wedding planner and partner of ours, Sarah at Pollyanna Events, to see what the whole deal was with wedding planners. Thing the is, Sarah introduced us to a whole NEW concept for couples who may not be able to afford the whole kit-and-caboodle of wedding planning. And I needed to introduce this to you because it.is.RAD.
Let’s be rock stars at this killer concert venue wedding (or anti-wedding?)
Kyle and Louisa aren’t your average couple and didn’t want their wedding to be cookie-cutter either. They hosted their event at one of Brooklyn’s coolest concert venues, The Bell House, and didn’t waste the stage since they’re both totally musicians. The party ended with a CONCERT.
Are you ready for this concert venue wedding that barely resembled a wedding at all? We are, too…
