Her photos were just full of that spark that you just want them to have. Clearly all of her clients are seriously comfortable in front of her camera, which is such a FIND. Let’s find out more about this awesome photographer and if she’s got any special gifts specifically for readers of Offbeat Bride. Spoiler alert: she does!
This historic industrial chic factory space venue is the New Jersey wedding venue of our dreams
If there’s one type of wedding venue that manages to be the most versatile backdrop for ANY kind of wedding, it’s a rad factory space. Exposed brick, vintage industrial chic lighting, kick-ass props, high ceilings, and GORGEOUS windows… give me that lofty goodness any day. So when I spied the space at our venue partner, ART FACTORY STUDIOS, I.was.blown.away.
A 1950s-inspired rustic vintage craft beer wedding
I love ’50s-inspired everything so my dress was tea-length and my makeup was more of a pin-up look with a birdcage veil and victory roll. We also really looked for an off-the-beaten-path location in New Jersey, which is not so easy! We settled on the Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ which is an old grist mill. Our ceremony was in the saw mill. We are also huge craft beer fans, so our tables were covered with hop leaves and our centerpieces were our own personal growlers. I tried to do a lot of DIY with decorating the pallets and using old windows for signs and the seating arrangement.
Some of the most drop-dead gorgeous wedding portraits EVER (and you can make yours just as fab)
We’ve been ogling stunning photos by our New Jersey-based longtime photography partner Dennis Pike for years now and STILL never ever ever can get over how amazing they are. No seriously: when we first stated working with him, all of us were heart eyes emoji-ing his photos and he still never stops surprising us with his use of light, shadows, and composition.
Peeking at his portrait portfolio is like falling into the looking glass in a love wonderland. The best part of working with Dennis is that he’s been owning offbeat weddings for his entire career. Some of his very favorite weddings came from readers like you and it’s a match made in heaven every time.
