A reader round-up full of smiles, tears, cheers, and FEELS!
Carolyn and Kaleisha are just making my day with their beautiful smiles and that high-five down the aisle. This week our Flickr pool was flooded with photos like this — of the most adorable and emotional couples! I seriously fell in love with all your smiles, tears, and celebratory high-fives. Scroll through this reader round-up with me and try not to feel the feels.
Cara & Joshua’s homemade Southern backyard wedding
This week we’re letting our hair down and getting back to nature in the wild, wild outdoors! This time we’ve got a Southern-style backyard wedding with mocktails, recycled tornado trees, and one bad-ass, bug-slaughtering bride. Oh, and you’ll never guess who caught the bouquet!
Should we still have a wedding shower if we’re an eloping military couple?
Since my fiance is in the Army, we are not able to include friends and family on our wedding day. Should we be able to have a bridal shower and bachelorette party as planned? Are we cheating our friends out of what’s due to them since they are giving us gifts? Is it unfair to invite people to a shower, and then not invite them to a wedding?
Stephanie & Zachary’s budget-friendly courthouse and pizza wedding
This week we’re celebrating intimate weddings with destination elopements, cozy city hall vows, and private romantic ceremonies. This time, the groom wore his Class A’s and the bride wore a short white dress to their courthouse ceremony with pizza and bar-hopping as the after-party. These two wanted a mid-week ceremony catered to their style, and they definitely did it. Low budget, high fun, epic pizza.
