This edgy wedding inspiration is like something out of an industrial dream. The softness of the bride’s black and white crochet dress highlighted her amazing ink, but then the second mirrored dress? DIVINE. Plus, everything had a very organic meets geometric vibe that I just loved. Emily and Rodney had a vintage-inspired wedding in Michigan with fall colors, tattoos, Princess Bride and Harry Potter cameos, and woodworking details. Emily is a woodworker and made the inlay for Rodney’s ring. She and her grandfather own a woodworking business so they were able to make most of the decor together.
Her uncle officiated the wedding, starting off with a homage to The Princess Bride, which had everyone laughing. She had some Harry Potter-inspired vows which made everyone sob.

From our initial planning, we had two big goals: a FUN wedding that demonstrated that LOVE is Love. We're from the Midwest and queer weddings are not the norm for our families, but we knew we wanted to plan an experience that was memorable and also helped normalize the beauty of all love.
