A greenery filled Tanzanian-inspired Northern Michigan wedding
Eneke’s Tanzanian heritage was celebrated throughout the day, from African women singing as the bride walked down the aisle towards her groom, to the African dance shared by father and daughter.
Vivid colors abound at this leather & acrylic wedding inspiration
This killer leather and acrylic wedding inspiration was inspired by holographic and neon decor seen at Coachella’s art installations. With a mix of dark and light flowers and vivid colors, it was a seriously dynamic look. We were loving all the acrylic details. It was held at one of Detroit’s newest venues, a restored original whiskey factory with natural light pouring in and an original antique bar found in an old Detroit mansion. This bride rocked her lucky leather jacket over a lace dress with floating appliqués. Don’t miss the “fuck yeah” cake topper…
It’s Hades & Persephone in this Greek myth-inspired underworld wedding inspiration
We are loving this Greek underworld-inspired wedding inspiration for the mythology lover in all of us. Real-life couple Tonya and Jessie were inspired by the god and goddess Hades and Persephone of the underworld with The Fates in attendance as flower girls.
Don’t miss the black and red dress with red crystal crown (Persephone was queen of the underworld, after all!), florals with deep roses, dark leaves, and hints of forbidden fruit, and the huge and amazing goth chic cake.
A Midsummer night’s dream meets Alice in Wonderland fantasy wedding
I decided early on I wanted to be a mystical fairy goddess for the wedding. We are both nerds, so there were many "easter eggs" hidden in parts of our wedding for people to find, from "game over" music at the end of the night to messages hidden in binary code on our save-the-dates. We are both feminists, so it was also very important to leave behind the more traditional, patriarchal, gender-specific parts of American weddings. Don’t miss the flower crowns on BOTH of them!
