A travelogue adventure elopement all around this couple’s hometown in Massachusetts
In lieu of a traditional ceremony and reception, Lynn and Chad eloped in full travelogue style. They rocked a whirlwind tour of all of their favorite places haunts around their town of Norfolk, MA. It was AMAZING.
A chat with offbeat wedding planning, Mama Hen organizing genius, Maven Macaw Events
When you’re scoping out the selection of vendors for your offbeat wedding, there’s one sign that ensures you’re dealing with someone who knows how it goes… when they themselves had an offbeat wedding! That’s definitely the case with our girl Beca Oliveira at Maven Macaw Events. So when we wanted to catch up with her to see how her amazing clients were rocking their weddings (with her pro guidance, natch!), we got the tea.
A glam & rustic Friday the 13th wedding
Kevin and I wanted to make sure our wedding was a representation of ourselves. We had planned on having the wedding in October once we got engaged and when we discovered there was a Friday the 13th in October 2017, we knew it was meant to be. Our wedding was Friday the 13th inspired with a dark yet natural vibe. The Codman Estate was the perfect mix of stunning natural scenery and modern convenience (bathrooms inside!). I wore a black dress (my dream) that I got at Macy's for under $150 which was a bonus for a thrifty maven.
Float through the air with the greatest of ease at this wedding on the flying trapeze
Margaret and Henry met and fell in love while at trapeze circus school. You know what this means: trapeze and circus-style performances abounded! Their circus family was included in trapeze acts, tightrope, acrobatics, and a marching band. They even got a few trapeze photos in their wedding finery. Are you ready for this circus-y trapeze wedding in Massachusetts? Don’t miss the circus-inspired centerpieces, flowery cake, and Margaret’s retro black reception dress!
