A tea party wedding with dinosaurs, DIY, & a gorgeous gown handmade by the bride
We knew we wanted things to be really classy and elegant, but we had a small budget. Since we couldn’t afford a lot of flowers, we bought a ton of Christmas lights on sale the year before and just went nuts with white twinkle lights and it worked out beautifully. Chris loves dinosaurs, so I snuck them in everywhere without telling him: large ones held our table numbers and small ones were just hidden in strange places, all painted gold. The biggest highlight is that I made my own gown!
Rainbow dresses and wedding pups at this “literature in miniature” wedding
We both love literature, miniatures, dogs, and film, so most of the wedding had some aspect of those themes included. We made a bookcase arch which was basically the only ceremony decor in addition to what was already in the beautiful venue. I made all the bridesmaids dresses in different jewel tones. I love retro style clothing and color and I couldn't find what I was looking for in the stores, so I made them myself!
A little bit retro, a little bit punk: this woodsy Maine wedding has it all
Siobhan and Tom’s wedding had a retro feel with just some hints of punk and rock ‘n’ roll. They were in a pop punk band together in Seattle, so their wedding took some inspiration from their musical background. They also had pizza, donuts, Simpsons references, and seriously gorgeous Maine fall foliage.

Golden snitches and kilts at this geeky Scottish-inspired wedding in Maine
Denae and Daniel clearly spent so much time and so much love on the details of their Harry Potter geek Scottish wedding in Maine. Danae scouted all of her table settings from thrift stores to create the vintage-inspired setup. The ceremony archway was framed by replicas of the couple’s pets: their cats and their lizard!
To cap it all off, there was a rainbow just as the reception was beginning. You just have to see it!

Everybody was literally kung fu fighting at this amazing “two girls in gis” dojo wedding. We’re SO happy that there’s a video of this martial arts ceremony to show us how it all went down. It’s epic. Four weddings and a national park: these two ladies had the first of four(!) weddings
Justine and Shannon traveled all the way from Florida for their national park wedding at Acadia National Park in Maine. This wedding was to be the first of four celebrations, if you can believe it. These celebrations were held in four different states, and Maine started it all off.
