Peacock feathers, a pirate band, and lobster wrestling at this Derbyshire wedding
Becky and Adam’s steampunk-y wedding had all the trappings we love about steampunk AND some epic fashion including a lavender dress we crave by The Couture Company. On top of that, there’s s pirate band, tug ‘o’ war, and lobster wrestling. Yep, you didn’t misread any of that. It’s all there and it’s all fabulous. It all took place at The West Mill in Derbyshire, UK.
Don’t miss the bride’s steamy headpiece and the peacock feather details!
A Renaissance fantasy Christmas wedding (aka “A Lord of the Rings Christmas Special!”)
When people asked about our wedding, we joked that the theme was, "Lord of the Rings Christmas Special." Shane is a huge Tolkein nerd, and we both love Renaissance faires and fantasy. Our wedding was in December, his favorite color is red, and mine is green, so throwing Christmas in just made sense. It came together beautifully.
A nature-inspired mountain wedding with lots of Bowie
“We wanted things to feel as natural as possible. I believe the words ‘Middle-earth’ were thrown out a few times when we were thinking about our ideal vibe. We found the perfect venue in the North Carolina mountains…” This lush nature-inspired mountain wedding had everything we love: fab outfits, great hair, and a sound message that it’s totally okay to be overwhelmed about wedding planning. Let’s see how this awesome pair overcame their worries and rocked the wedding hard…
A romantic Ohio forest elopement for two (with purple hair and smoke bombs!)
Kitti and Sean wanted a private and intimate Ohio forest elopement for two. They want it private, but they also wanted it to represent their style. Their photographer met them at the entrance to the forest at Pine Quarry Park in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. There was a private ceremony, a gorgeous cake, and a few stunning portraits (some with colorful smoke bombs — the groom’s idea!).
Let’s get a tiny look at this secluded Ohio forest elopement…
A summer solstice glamping elopement in the redwoods
Amanda and Josh moved across the country to the Seattle area from the East Coast, and made a point to explore the forests and scenery. They wanted to include nature by having a “glamping” elopement in the redwoods with a long day spent in each other’s company before exchanging personal vows. And to make that day as long as possible, they got married on the longest day of the year: the summer solstice!
Let’s pretend we’re sipping vino at this wine country wedding in California
High school sweethearts BriAna and Eric chose a Clos LaChance Winery for their wine country wedding in California. It was a dream with ivy-covered walls, tucked between rolling hills, and overlooking seriously scenic vineyards. Some of the highlights included a Mariachi band, flowers girls hugging and dancing the day away, a flower-covered cake (and SO many stunning flowers in general), parasols, and Serrano pepper salsa favors made from scratch!
