A farm wedding handmade with love
Jennifer and Russ held a gorgeous almost-totally-DIYed wedding at Jennifer’s parent’s farm in Ocala, FL. After their outdoor ceremony under a giant tree, they had a reception with a bourbon bar, alcoholic cupcakes, and a s’mores pit!
A 1950s-inspired Aussie wedding with a serenade
Lucille and Chris were married in the courtyard of University House, Canberra Australia. Chris played his ukulele as Lucille walked down the aisle. So sweet! The pair also opted to have indie cabaret duo The Jane Austen Argument play at the reception.
Traci & Tony’s mismatched picnic forest wedding
One way to stay on a budget: have access to an amazing farm venue for free! This gorgeous outdoor setting was the perfect backdrop for this couple’s thrifty (and thrifted) ceremony and forest reception. Starting out with some “Smooch Hooch,” following the chalkboard signs, and ending up in a lighted glen… I think I can handle that kind of party.
Anna & Jon’s family and sweets, hot-day wedding
On a VERY rare blazingly hot day in the UK, this colorful pair donned their respective purple veil and top hat to get married. Their goals were charmingly simple: family, sweets, and color. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the giant mob of long-haired and bearded men!
Elly & Nick’s vintage/redneck planned-in-30-days wedding
These two are a hot mess of mixed-up genres and I LOVE IT! A vintage gal rockin’ a retro look and a self-described redneck guy from Alaska roasting a pig in the backyard. And you’re going to love their forest-y mushroom cupcakes, caramel apples, and adorable backyard setup.
Amy & Jess’ glittery rustic barn wedding
Take one adorably crazy cat man with awesome hair, one Rubik’s cube-teaching bride, lots of helpful yoga-performing and cupcake tier-fixing friends and family, and a weekend of activities, and you’ll get a wedding I want to have attended. Sadly, I didn’t, but we can relive the events with wistful eyes and share in the joy that is a wedding with puzzle place cards and crossword programs.
