Lauren & Steve’s homey family reunion barn wedding
When we feature weddings with barns AND tentacle content in one week, it can only mean it’s BARN–ACLE WEEK! Today we’ve got a lovely Midwest barn setting, some adorable fur babies, and a sweet, poetry-reading grandma.
A barn wedding among the fall leaves
Molly and Scott are bad-assery in motion: awesome music-making, smoking in the boy’s room, dreadlock-sporting hip kids. They celebrated at Clay Hill Farm (a perfect fit for this week’s Barn–acle theme!), and everything looked divine against the changing leaves of Maine in October.
Bagpipes, redwoods, and fiddles at this Big Sur Pi Day wedding
We love seeing couples get married on Pi Day, but Jeanne and Nick took it one step further and had the ceremony begin at 1:59, making their anniversary an even longer form of the abridged number: 3.14159! Jeanne walked in to bagpipes and let her fab Black Milk leggings peek out as she walked toward the ceremony. And then we got to see the first of many photos of Nick’s expression that make me swoon.
Lady Zombie’s purple dress and gothic fusion wedding details will stun you
If the title alone didn’t already get you clickin’ hardcore to see this wedding, let me fill you in a little bit more: leather corsets (well, leather everywhere, really), a life force exchanging unity ceremony, and tons of romantic gushing and sexy gothic snuggles. Oh, and if you need to excuse yourself after witnessing the extremely hot fanged garter removal, nobody here will blame you. Whew.
Bethany & Joe’s geeky winter church wedding
It’s Christmas in May around here! This pair doubled down on ornaments and jingle bells in the bouquets and boutonnieres, to super cute effect. Add in the bride’s mini top hat, the bridesmaids’ retro twirly skirts, some geeky necklaces and toasting flutes, and the groom’s self-described “poodle hair,” and you’ve got fancy fun all over this joint.
Abby & Kyle’s lightsabers and WoW villains geektastic wedding
Robots and aliens have invaded weddings this week! It’s making me want to break it down in a binary solo. Today we’ve got Old Gods, Han and Leia, and gamers in lurve.
