Michele & Douglas’ fairy forest handfasting on a farm
This week we’re letting our hair down and getting back to nature in the wild, wild outdoors! Today’s wedding explodes with mossy, fairy goodness, “mushroom” desserts, a killer black corset dream dress, and break-dancing family fun on a farm. Plus, you’ll learn how to better prepare for those tough vow questions.
Stacey & Ben’s family farm home-grown wedding
This groom’s mad DIY skills are going to make your jaw drop. He built the gazebo they got married under — no big deal. The couple’s whole family got in on the DIY action, from growing the flowers to gathering the tablecloths, and wait till you see the bonfire they built, lit by the full harvest moon!
Silpi & Shawn’s handmade Indian-fusion cabaret wedding
This Canadian couple brought together the best of Western and Indian cultures for this fusion wedding. Add that to the mad crafting skills, fabulous yellow saris, talent-filled cabaret performances, and really fun guest book idea, and you’ve got a fabulous party for all involved. Plus, you’ll definitely want to check out the groom’s boy band performance!
The happiest gay lumberjack wedding ever
I got completely immersed in the photos sent from Kristen Marie Photography, and was cheering along with the guests (you’ll see what I mean when you get there). She described this as a “gay lumberjack” wedding, which is just fantastic. There’s summer camp/scouting influences, talent shows, tubing down a river, log cutting, and the happiest faces ever. Plus, it’s in Washington, so it’s legal. Seriously, just start looking.
