Emily & Mitchell’s rainy steampunk geodesic dome wedding
Put on your goggles and your neo-Victorian gear, because this is STEAMPUNK WEEK! Today we’ve got a purple and bronze steamy bonanza with a geodesic dome ceremony, a ketubah/parking problem (what?!), and some adorable vows you don’t want to miss. Just watch out for the spoilsport rain!
A spiral aisle wedding where the bride had her mother’s ashes in her bouquet
Remember the spiral aisle that we featured? Here they are, along with tons of paper flowers (that look super real), a Banksy guest book, a secret handshake at the end of the ceremony, and of course, their completely awesome way to fix the problem of a lopsided guest list. Oh, and wait until you see the reception skits that included cardboard box masks with giant eyelashes!
Alicia & Cody’s fiery dragon and phoenix art gallery wedding
With amazing gradient mobiles that match the bride’s earrings that match her dress that matches the cake that matches the fiery candles… WHEW! Seriously, this wedding is a sight to see and totally authentic to their tastes. Plus, the bride painted a spectacular (seriously) triptych for the ceremony that made my day.
Maria & Daniel’s snowed-in gothic burlesque wedding
When you’re gamers, metalheads, and all-around cool people, you can make an equally cool wedding with gothic details, a lovely black gown, and burlesque performers. But this pair also had to deal with mountains of snow keeping their guests trapped at home! Good thing they knew how to live stream it all from their laptop. Technology saves the day!
