YAY, LESBIAN WEDDINGS! We celebrate all identities within the LGBT umbrella, including transgender weddings, gay weddings, and bisexuality, as well nonbinary and non-binary gender identity issues. If you want to talk fashion, darlings, be sure to check out our two brides, two dresses posts (for lesbian weddings where both partners wore gowns), and our bride in pants archive, which features lots of straight brides too, and SO MUCH non-dress wedding attire inspiration.

A fantasy viking wedding in Sweden with handmade dresses(!)

A surprise fantasy viking wedding in Sweden with handmade dresses(!)

Åsa and Nina got married at the VikingaTider in Löddeköpinge, in the south of Sweden. It’s an archaeological open-air museum focusing on Vikings and the early Middle Ages. It was a fantasy viking wedding theme(!) and they even made their own dresses! The ceremony had singing and circle dancing and all-around good times for all guests and vikings alike.

A magical Pacific Northwest fairytale wedding with a little Princess Bride (and a mountain goat!)

A magical Pacific Northwest fairytale wedding with a little Princess Bride (and a mountain goat!)

A little bit of a Princess Bride theme is a favorite way to party. Just take a peek at their themed cornhole game! The rain may have added some stress, but these ladies were troopers when it came to making the best of it and having a blast. When you say your vows in the company of a curious mountain goat (with dubious intentions!), it’s bound to be a killer party. Don’t miss their slip-up when they crowdsourced their bouquets from guests! It turned into a really sweet moment.

A surprise proposal engagement in Philadelphia

Jill proposed to her partner Duby (in that hat!) a few months prior to their engagement session. Jill didn’t expect to get a ring until the wedding day, so this was a total surprise to her, as you can see! It was quite a surprise proposal.

A heavy metal boat cruise wedding

A metalhead boat cruise wedding with headbanging and battle-axes

My wife and I originally met through our university's Metal Club, so it was only natural that we have a metal-themed wedding to celebrate the style of music that brought us together. The venue was the bottom floor of a yacht that does lunch/dinner cruises, which we chose to both reflect our desire to have both a classy affair and a mark our viking voyage in life as wife and wife.
