Blended family wedding vows: 9 wedding scripts + what NOT to do
Over the years, we’ve seen lots of really lovely ways to include children in blended family weddings, but we’ve never featured the vows that were spoken. I’ve enlisted the help of a few of our favorite officiants, asking them to share wording for blended family vows that they’ve written. (Plus, we’ve got one batch of bonus vows from an Offbeat Bride reader!)
Melaina & Nick’s colorful playful and kid-friendly wedding
After hiring him to color her comics, he colored her world. D’aw! And a theme was born: color! That, along with everything playful and awesome, makes this artsy and geeky wedding a feast for the eyes and fun for all ages. Though a few mishaps were born of Hurricane Irene, somehow it all came together in the end.
Meg & Zach’s simple Southern kid-friendly Christian wedding
This Southern couple keeps their eyes on the ball when it comes to following their beliefs and the need for a personalized bash. They manage to combine tradition and offbeat details all while having an awesome party complete with lawn games and tons of kids. I’m there.
Lori and Desi’s seaside paradise wedding
